Where is Sylvia?

I usually go into Sylvia's room to check on her before I go to bed. She usually turns on her light at some point before falling asleep which makes it easier to take pictures.

We put a couple of pillows in her room for a reading corner. Now she likes to sleep there.
Here's where I found her one night. I usually leave her on the ground when I find her.
A few nights ago, I peeked in her room and didn't see her in bed so I checked in her corner. She wasn't there either, so I quickly checked our bed. I got a little nervous and then noticed a little hand sticking out from under the bed. but I did wake her up to get her out from under the bed. I was afraid she would bonk her head if she woke up in the middle of the night so I woke her up and moved her this time.
She also takes off her pajamas a lot but I don't have any pictures of that.

6 Months (and a couple of weeks)

I finally got around to taking Erickson in for his 6 month pictures. I'm only two weeks late. My mom came along and planned to take Sylvia to the play land. However, Sylvia wanted to watch Eric get his pictures taken. She then said she also wanted to get her picture taken. I wish she would have felt this way three months ago when I wanted her to get her picture taken.

Erickson is so photogenic which made it difficult to pick which pictures to order. I am very good at not ordering any extras or letting them sell me on any of their fancy ones they put together since it adds up quickly. The photographer said something about his wild hair and I laughed inside because his hair usually stands up way more than this. I did a little work on it before pictures but I didn't want it flat against his head because I don't think we would have recognized him.

We did end up letting Sylvia get a couple of pictures taken. This one turned out great but I didn't order. You have have to pay extra for the black and white and her outfit didn't quite look great in color. Before we left for the mall she took of the shirt she had been wearing all day and said, "This shirt isn't for the mall. I need my orange shirt." She then picked out navy blue pants and teal aqua socks to wear.

How Big is Baby?

Eric hasn't had his 6 month check up yet so we don't have the official measurements. But, according to Sylvia, he is 39.

6 months

My baby turned 6 months old yesterday. My how the time is flying by. Erickson has been such a joyful addition to our family. He is a pretty laid back little boy with lots of smiles and giggles. He loves his big sister...especially when she's bouncing him around on the bed while jumps. I started him on some solids a few weeks ago and he is an eater, much more so than his sister was. He loves his food and already eats a couple of times a day. I'm also working on getting him to sleep through the night again. He literally laughs out loud when I go into his room in the middle of the night. It's almost as though he's playing a trick on me. Luckily, a few minutes of snuggling and rocking and he goes right back down...without eating! He's just started rolling all over the place and reaching for toys. He loves having something in his hands and mouth but not teeth yet. He and Sylvia have just started "fighting" over toys a little bit. The TV is currently a big distraction to him, especially when he's nursing. He has really dry skin and I'm not looking forward to trying to keep him moisturized during the winter. I think we may be taking him to a dermatologist soon.
