Having Fun

Last weekend we enjoyed a trip downtown for dinner with some friends. The kids played beforehand and Sylvia's hair stood up like this every time she went down the slide.

The following day Sylvia took a ride on the fish at City Park which she loves.

Date Night

Sylvia went on her first date.

Although there were chaperons.

Her and Henry enjoyed a cookie together after taking their parents out to dinner. I think they were both more interested in the cookie than eachother.

Happy Grandparents' Day

Sylvia pulled out her planner today and realized she forgot to say "Happy Grandparents' Day" yesterday. So, here's a quick post to let everyone know how much she loves all of her grandparents.

"I love you Papa and Nana."

"I love you Grandma and Grandpa."

"I love you GGma."

"I love you Great Nana."

"I love you Granny."

A Trip to the Park with Henry

Dan and I watched Henry again the other night along with his little brother Calvin. We decided to take a trip to the park even though we only had a single stroller. The kids didn't seem to mind.

Sylvia loves to swing and always says "swing" when she sees our stroller. However, it was Henry's first time on a swing. He seemed to enjoy it even though he was a little uncertain at first.

The kids enjoyed racing acorns down the slides.

Our trip home was quite entertaining.

Baking

Recently I learned that it is easier to invite Sylvia up on a stool while I cook instead of having her pulling at my pant legs and whining. I try to let her help when possible but it's not always easy. We've made cookies a couple of times recently and that has been her favorite.

After making the dough, Sylvia ran her finger along the top of the bowl and tasted it. When there wasn't any more on the edge she took the spatula, stuck it in the bowl, and spread some more on the edge of the bowl.

Sylvia poured most of the ingredients into the oatmeal raisin cookies we made tonight. She especially liked being able to lick off the beater.
