Curious George Jammers

These Curious George pajamas were on sale at Target a couple of months ago for less than $5. I have been impatiently waiting for it to warm up enough for Sylvia to wear them. The time has finally come and she requests them every night.

A few nights ago, I got them out for the first time. When Sylvia saw them for the first time she was so excited and she said, "Thank you Mommy. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Her face here is her reaction to me asking to take another picture...not her reaction to the new pajamas.

(I know they're boy pajamas but Sylvia really likes George and I have never seen a Curious George girl product...plus they were really cheap.)

Siblings

Lot's of people are asking if Sylvia and Erickson look alike. Both kids are two months in these pictures. I see some similarities but overall I don't think they look a lot alike. What do you think?

Smiles

I cannot get enough of this little man.
Erickson has been such a good baby. He figured out his days and nights at about two weeks, started sleeping through the night around two months, and now will fall asleep on his own when I put him in the crib! His smiles are wonderful, he's starting to talk more, and he scooted himself of his playmat yesterday.

A Few Stories

This afternoon, I was emptying the dishwasher and Sylvia asked me what I was doing. I told her I was putting the dishes away and she said, "Who's coming over?" I guess that speaks for how often I clean-up at our place.

A couple others I don't want to forget...
Last summer Sylvia thought that a towel said "whoo, whoo" just like an owl.

About a month ago, Dan and Sylvia were playing and Dan was pretending to eat her. She told him to stop eating her and he asked why she tasted so good if he wasn't supposed to eat her. Her response, "Because I'm spicy."

Meeting Granny

Dan's Granny came to visit a few weeks ago and got to meet Erickson. Sylvia loved all of the time we spent with Dan's family.

Photogenic

Can you tell who I was trying to take a picture of?

I love that Erickson didn't mind being laid right down in the grass to take his nap.

All Dressed Up for Church

Nothing to say besides, "I love my kids."

Play Dough

Another table activity. Sylvia got this playdough set from a friend for her birthday, and she loves it. It's a little like a Mr. Potato Head where she can stick the pieces in the playdough. She is able to be so creative with it. This little guy made me laugh

ABC's

Sylvia loves to sing and sings all the time. However, it's hard to catch her on video because she'll often quit when she sees me pull the camera out. Here she is singing the ABCs. She always skips y and z and just repeats the song although she knows the ending if I sing y and z for her.

Sylvia's ABC Book

One of Sylvia's Christmas presents was an ABC book I put together. It has recently become one of her favorite activites, and she asks for it daily. I try to let her do one table activity each day which include the ABC Book, her sticker book, playdough, and painting.

When we do her ABC book, she looks through magazines for pictures, I then help her cut them out. After a couple of months of practice she is picking up her scissors correctly. She also knows to put the glue on the back of the picture. This girl is going to be very ready for preschool by the time she can go.
