Dan didn't waste much time replacing the tree we recently had removed from our backyard. He may have even ordered this one before the other was down. We planted an elm in our backyard on Eastmoor. It was a beautiful tree that grew quickly. So, we thought it would be a good choice for our new backyard as well. During one of Drake's naps, Sylvia and Eric helped Dan dig a whole and plant our new tree. Both took turns with the shovel. Sylvia went inside to put shoes on so she could do it better. They both helped mix up the ground dirt with the soil Dan mixed and watched as Dan worked the roots before placing it in the ground. Patting down the dirt and adding mulch were the last steps before watering our new tree for the first time. It was so fun to watch Dan take the time to involve them and teach them about trees.
