My sewing machine has been acting up recently. Something was wrong with the tension, and I have been intending to take it in for a "tune up." However, after loosening and tightening all the screws I could find, I fixed it myself. So, I was able to finish this for a friend who was looking for a baby gift. I bought some extra fabric this time so I could make a matching burp cloth. You'll also see, I added a piece of terry cloth for small clean ups while nursing. Pink is not my favorite color, but I liked this fabric when I saw it.

This is so cute. I am trying to think of more ideas of stuff to make for gifts...would you pass along the instructions for it? I have been sewing flannel burp cloths and decorative baby hangers but would like to add something to the mix. I love all the fabrics you have chosen too! I never used one of these but I have a friend who has one and LOVES it. It is probably nice not to be fighting a blanket while nursing. Anyway, sorry this got so long but thanks for sharing!
wow, those look great! My burp cloths were a hit and easy to make but I haven't tried the hooter hider thingy. I think I need a sewing lesson :) Nice work.
How did you get so creative? Aunt Sue and Grandma will be proud.
You found a new calling! I am sure you could sell them at the farmer's market, but gifts for friends is great too!
VERY CUTE!
