Rocks and Flowers

We stopped by Dan's office tonight to drop off some cookies. Sylvia made sure he knew that he needed to share them with her. Otherwise he would get a "stummy ache." When we got home, Sylvia immediately started picking flowers and Eric climbed into the rock patch. Dan has a deadline tomorrow morning at 9:00. So, by the time he heads home in the morning he will have spent a total of at least 26 hours at work. Thank you for working so hard tonight daddy! Here's a couple of pictures of your cuties to get you through the night. There's a pile of rocks awaiting you in the driveway and a vase full of flowers on the kitchen counter.

Front Yard Ducks

Living close to the river has its perks! We often have ducks in our front yard. Sylvia has always loved feeding the ducks. It's a bonus to feed them from your own front yard. She gave Erickson some bread as well. He ate most of it himself. When we went inside, he started tearing pieces off and throwing them on the floor.

Pool Fun

The weather has been so cool recently that we haven't filled the backyard pool recently. Here are a few pictures from a couple of weeks ago. Looks like the weather may be turning around here and we'll be playing outside more.

Building Blocks

This little guy takes after his daddy and loves to play with blocks and build. I was surprised when I looked over and saw a seven block tower because Eric was playing all by himself. He proceeded to knock it over and rebuild it so I knew he hadn't had any help. We may need to build this kid a bigger set of blocks.

Oh the Places They'll Go

This post is for daddy who is working late tonight. He likes to take a look at the blog to see his babies. So, here are two of the cutest pictures I've ever taken and they both happen to be from this past week.

Erickson loves opening cabinets, drawers, etc. and emptying them out. I caught him sitting in my colander and couldn't resist taking a picture. Especially with that grin.

Sylvia usually gets up after we put her to bed to turn on her light and play a little or come out and tell us she's scared or can't sleep. She is very good at putting off falling asleep. A few nights ago, her light was on when Dan and I were headed to bed. This is where we found her when we peeked in to shut off the light. Again, I couldn't resist taking a picture.

The New Pool

As you can tell by the weather, these pics are a few weeks old. Sylvia was gearing up for summer and filling our new pool for the first time. She likes to pretend she's a firefighter with the hose. This was Eric's first time in the "big" pool.

Sprinkler

I used a recent 30% of coupon at Kohls to buy us a sprinkler. Sylvia wasn't sure what she thought at first but she quickly warmed up to running through it's wild, wiggly, wet bug arms. She is growing up so quickly. When I look at these pictures I don't see a baby at all anymore.
