Strawberry Picking

Nana and Papa took Sylvia strawberry picking a couple of weeks ago. It sounded like she had a good time and we sure enjoyed the strawberries she shared with us.

Backyard Pool & City Park Rides

We watched Henry and Calvin last Saturday while Linda and Jesse did some packing. I set up the pool while the kids were napping and boy were they excited to get in. Sylvia saw it and must remember swimming in it with Henry last summer. The first thing she said was, "Where's Henry?"

The O'Briens joined us for pizza and then we headed over to the rides at City Park. I love living right next to the park. Sylvia enjoyed the fish a little more than Henry. I think she'll like going to Six Flags this summer. The train was a hit with both kids. I think we'll be frequenting the rides at the park quite often this summer.

Bus, Playground, Dinner, Music

The kids and I walked to the end of our neighborhood a week ago and joined Linda and her kids on the bus. We've been talking about doing this for way to long. We headed "town town" (as Sylvia calls it) to meet up with the daddies for dinner and music in the ped mall.

Henry and Sylvia were so excited to ride the bus together.
That is until they remembered that they don't actually get along all that well all the time. Linda is listening to Sylvia whine and complain about Henry going "blah, blah, blah" with his tongue and headbutting her.
Sylvia has grown up so much since last summer and I no longer worry so much when she's on the playground equipment downtown. Here's a couple of the funny faces we get to see all the time.
We were attempting to take a picture of just the four kids but I'm glad Jesse stayed in it since Henry is holding Erickson by his head.

After a pretty successful dinner at The Summit with four adults and four kids we enjoyed the West High jazz band on the ped mall. Sylvia enjoyed watching the older girls dance and tried to join them a few times.

Curious George Jammers

These Curious George pajamas were on sale at Target a couple of months ago for less than $5. I have been impatiently waiting for it to warm up enough for Sylvia to wear them. The time has finally come and she requests them every night.

A few nights ago, I got them out for the first time. When Sylvia saw them for the first time she was so excited and she said, "Thank you Mommy. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Her face here is her reaction to me asking to take another picture...not her reaction to the new pajamas.

(I know they're boy pajamas but Sylvia really likes George and I have never seen a Curious George girl product...plus they were really cheap.)

Siblings

Lot's of people are asking if Sylvia and Erickson look alike. Both kids are two months in these pictures. I see some similarities but overall I don't think they look a lot alike. What do you think?

Smiles

I cannot get enough of this little man.
Erickson has been such a good baby. He figured out his days and nights at about two weeks, started sleeping through the night around two months, and now will fall asleep on his own when I put him in the crib! His smiles are wonderful, he's starting to talk more, and he scooted himself of his playmat yesterday.

A Few Stories

This afternoon, I was emptying the dishwasher and Sylvia asked me what I was doing. I told her I was putting the dishes away and she said, "Who's coming over?" I guess that speaks for how often I clean-up at our place.

A couple others I don't want to forget...
Last summer Sylvia thought that a towel said "whoo, whoo" just like an owl.

About a month ago, Dan and Sylvia were playing and Dan was pretending to eat her. She told him to stop eating her and he asked why she tasted so good if he wasn't supposed to eat her. Her response, "Because I'm spicy."
