Camp EWALU

I grew up attending EWALU Bible camp from 4th through 12th grade. I then returned for a summer as a counselor. I also worked there for a semester while in college. This summer, EWALU celebrated it's 50th anniversary. Dan and I took the kids up for a day and got to see some of my camp friends. It was so fun to watch my children enjoy the camp that I love so much.

The first thing we did, after saying "hi" to a few friends, was visit the craft room.

After doing some coloring, we ate lunch in Cedar Lodge.
It was a rainy day but the kids didn't mind. Enjoying the rain on the back deck of Cedar Lodge.
When it wasn't raining, Sylvia liked to make the rain fall from the trees.
Taking a walk by the Cherry cabins.
The Maquoketa River was high but we were still able to make it to the A-Frame bridge.

Sylvia and her mud ball.
Playing in the rain and mud.
Kelley and Bridget are two wonderful friends I worked with at camp.
We also took a quick dip in the camp pool but it was a little chilly. Sylvia kept talking about how much fun she had at camp!
