Princess Party

Sylvia was invited to a beautiful princess birthday party for her friend, Elizabeth, last weekend. I bought this costume at Goodwill after Halloween last year, and it was just perfect for the party. The girls got princess tattoos, played with ponies, got their toenails painted, and Sylvia's favorite...did crafts. There were lots and lots of yummy treats. Sylvia was so excited to find a little box filled with M&Ms at her seat. She's only gotten them for "poopy treats" in the past and she gave a big grin as she ate them. Elizabeth's mommy read from the Bible and told girls that they are princesses because they are daughters of the King!

The Winners

My baby is really starting to look like a little boy. He is so precious to me and, like every mama says, I can't imagine life before he came. Although I do remember what it felt like to be more rested. We were blessed by beautiful weather, big smiles and a big sister who was content (for the most part) to play on her own while I was taking these.

Runners Up

I warned you that I would be posting too many pictures for most of you. This boy just makes me smile. Plus, I've been slow at blogging recently so why not take a look at 20 pictures of my handsome son.

Goofy Favs

Sylvia, Eric and I went to Kiwanis park on Tuesday so I could take Eric's 1 year pictures. I've been putting it off due to large forehead bruises, cold weather, and sickness. There are going to be too many pictures in this post and the next for most of you.

Trying to see what his sister was up to.

I believe a plane or helicopter flew over at this point.

No description needed for this one.

Trying to get away from mom's camera. This boy is always on the move. I was impressed that he actually sat still for a few of the pictures.

If you look close, you can see his tongue playing with all those new teeth.

Quite a bit of dirt and mulch was consumed.

I Got My First Hug at Mercy Hospital

Sylvia has always loved wearing her "hospital shirt." The other day, she found out that Eric also had one and she was very exicted. So, I dressed both kids up in their shirts for a picture op. I had to inform Sylvia that it would be the last time she could wear her shirt because it is getting too small. We had great experiences at Mercy with both of our children and are thankful for the talented doctors and nurses who work there.

Spring Break Demolition

We spent as much time as possible enjoying the beautiful weather outside over spring break. Entertainment was provided by the backhoes and bobcats tearing down the houses on either side of us. Sylvia found our two play hardhats for her and Eric and took them outside while we played.
Sylvia's picture of a backhoe.
Sylvia got a hand-me-down big wheel from her cousin, Katie, last fall. We saved it until she was potty trained and that day is finally here. We've taken a few (very slow) trips around the block. She likes to stop and ask lots of questions as well as gather leaves and things to put in the seat container.
Someday soon he'll be able to keep up with big sister.
