Thank You Cards

A couple of weeks ago, I helped Sylvia make some thank you cards for a few Christmas gifts. She enjoyed having so much freedom with the art supplies...especially the glitter. I apologize to those of you who received one of our glitter filled envelopes.

Par Tee Zone

We took the kids to the ParTee Zone after our family Christmas. Sylvia loves spending time with her cousins and enjoyed running around with them. Eric is also beginning to enjoy it.

Christmas at the Hoefer's

We celebrated Christmas with my family on the 26. There wasn't enough room under Grandma and Grandpa's tree for all the gifts.

Eric has never been one to fall asleep in our arms so Dan didn't mind at all when I chatted a little longer than planned and Eric slept in his arms while playing Mario Cart.
In case anybody wondered, Grandpa can get tired out.

Sylvia loves taking pictures with our digital camera. Here's what she captured on Christmas at Nana and Papa's house. I love getting a glimps at the world through her eyes. The portraits she took of all of us weren't all that flattering so I didn't include them.

We let the kids get their afternoon nap in before heading over to Nana and Papa's to celebrate with them and Aunt Ginny.

Christmas Morning

We spent Christmas morning at home and started with stockings. Here's Sylvia with her stocking as well as Erickson with one of his stocking stuffers.Helping Daddy with his stocking

After eating breakfast, we opened a new Bible for the kids and read the Christmas story.
Sylvia was trying to figure out who each of the gifts were for so I quickly wrote a large first initial on the packages so she could hand them out. You can see Eric's "E" on this one.

I believe Sylvia enjoyed Eric's gift more than he did.
We bought Sylvia a set of three nesting suit cases. She kept saying, "There's another one." and when she opened the last one she said, "Nuffin." Once she figured out what they were she really liked them. One of her favorite activities currently is filling up bags, etc. with toys and carrying them to different places in the house. She usually says they're filled with candy.

Snowman

Sylvia enjoyed playing out in the snow before Christmas. I got a workout pulling her around in a little sled. We made snow angels and ate snow. I need to get some snow gear now that she likes playing outside in the winter for more than a few minutes.
The snow wasn't quite sticky enough for a big snowman but we were able to put this together.
