The kids and I visited Niabi Zoo with Emily, Parker and Macy a few weeks ago. Thanks to Mrs. Potter (one of Sylvia and Parker's preschool teachers) for letting us borrow her mini van which allowed us to travel together.
There were multiple requests for a train ride right off the bat. We decided to start our day with a ride through the zoo rather than hearing about it the rest of the morning.
The buff cheeked gibbon's in the exhibit were hiding, but these two apes were out all day.
Emily is not a big fan of birds so she stayed out of the lorikeet cage with the toddlers.
Taking a look at the African lions.
We stopped for a picnic lunch in the shade. Good thing I was there to save Emily from the bugs.
I wore Drake most of the day but he was willing to sit in the stroller during lunch.
Even combined, their wingspan is smaller than a bald eagle's.

Posing for a quick picture in front of the aoudads. These things don't seem to move at all and are always on top of the rocks when we come visit.
The Broffitt and Kacmarynski crew at the zoo.
My beautiful butterfly.
These two don't sit still for long but it's cute when they do.
Me and my kiddos.
Parker and Sylvia up close while attempting to get a group shot with the timer.
After multiple attempts at group shot in the gazebo, this was our best one. The kids were excited and distracted by the train driving past us.
Eric enjoying a hug from Macy...and his first juice box.
This may look like a nice peaceful walk but I'm really retrieving them after they ran away...again.
Giving the goats a little snack before we headed home.
We were very thankful for the minivan on our way home. The kids slept while Emily and and I talked and enjoyed a treat from McDonald's without any requests to share.

Glad the kids slept on the way home. Great picture of that. The butterfly is really cute too.
Thank you for saving me from the bug, Laura!
